Children, Adults and Mindfulness
 
Children are born with a natural and pure connection to the universe, which allows them to connect on the level of consciousness us adults so adamantly try to achieve through various avenues. Some of these various avenues are:
 
1. Meditation (guided/self-guided)

 
2. Yoga 


3. Hypnosis

Plus more!

With all of these many avenues of reaching that connectedness to the universe, most adults have yet to get to that connection they once had as a child. As we age, we tend to push out the things that are natural to us in order to allow in the foreign thoughts, perspectives of others and conditioning that is constantly thrust into our minds.
 
Children will simply breath in complete breaths, go into meditative states, flow their hands into mudras and flow through asanas without hesitation. For children, everything is simplified because their minds are pure. There are no other misconstrued ideas of how we are "supposed" to be yet and no one has forced them to ground completely yet.
 
If we as adults can just let go and allow our inner child resurface, maybe there can be a deeper connection fulfilled.
 
Let the child in you come out and let them fly!
